The American Legion conducted a ceremony honoring our
fallen veterans at the Island Park Cemetery this past Memorial Day. The short
ceremony included a graveside prayer and the laying of a wreath. That was
followed by taps and a twenty-one gun salute. While outdoor activities take up
so much of our time during this holiday weekend, it is important to acknowledge
the sacrifice made by our veterans.
